Winter Photography in Alberta + Vallerret Gloves Giveaway

Winter photography in extreme cold comes with its own set of challenges, especially when it comes to keeping your hands warm without losing control of your camera. If you’ve ever had to cut a shoot short because your fingers went numb, you know how frustrating it can be. On a trip to Alberta, I put my Vallerret photography gloves to the test during an early morning shoot on one of the most unique outdoor rinks I’ve ever experienced—and it turned into the perfect reminder of how much the right gear matters.

Cold Mornings, Warm Hands

Using Vallerret photography specific gloves has been a game changer for me. Longer days, full control of my camera, and no frozen fingers—even on the coldest shoots. Being able to access buttons, dials, and touchscreens without exposing my hands means I can stay focused on the moment instead of fighting the conditions. At this point, their gloves (and socks) are something I don’t head into a mountain shoot without.

In this post, I’ve included a mix of images from that Alberta morning—along with a few shots of the Vallerret Tinden gloves themselves—to give a better sense of both the environment and the gear that made it possible to stay out there.

Giveaway — XL Tinden Gloves

I’m giving away a pair of XL Tinden gloves, perfect for someone with bigger hands who wants to stay out longer on cold days. If that’s not you, think of a friend who could actually use the size. I want to make sure these end up in the right hands.
